Latest series, 'Somewhere In'
Shot on film point and shot on location using natural light and different films from Kodak gold to Ultra max1!
I have Location and studio experience with the ability to use different equipment from Canon 5ds, 6ds to Sony mirrorless and Fujifilm mirrorless cameras as well as the use of tripods and hands free, shooting self portraits and portraits. I have the ability to shoot tethered and via Capture one as well as by sd card. I have great experience with lighting, soft boxes, umbrellas, shadowing as well as fans. Assisting and styling I also have experience in. My portfolio is constantly being built, my recent projects involve my 'Somewhere In' series that explores the crazy and beauty unbeknown in Asia and its countries. Natural light and shot on Kodak film, using long exposure and film photography. My work often misses the use of digital and film photography and using binary's is apart of all this, from portraits to landscape as well as fashion to landscape genres.
From university my imagery grew vastly with different tasks, briefs and experiences. The genre of my work, plays with genres and the ideas around it. Recently this includes my graduate project "Playtime" a magazine that received a First Class honours mark. This was a visual investigation, in flipping the masculine and the feminine. Identifying the role of gender and the experimental role it assumes and how it can be played with. From polaroid film bringing and exploring the traditional and physical side to film photography combined with digital images. Using dressing up, styling and prop profiles to assume roles in rejecting traditional norms of the binary of gender.
